The “Moonlight Serenade” Ball in the Palmetto Room of the Bentley Village East Clubhouse raised $42,800 for the Bentley Village Wings Scholarship Fund.
A beautifully decorated Palmetto Room accommodated the 150 ticket holders in elegant style. Again this year, we featured the Big Band sounds of the Glenn Miller Orchestra with vocals by Nick Hitscher and Natalie Angst and The Moonlight Serenaders, and dance hosts assured that everyone who wished to dance had a partner. A delicious dessert selection was at each table along with a coffee bar providing complimentary coffee, tea and Irish coffee.
To add a bit of excitement during the band’s intermission, the ball included a raffle for six donated items. All 400 raffle tickets were sold in advance, and the winning tickets were pulled at the ball. Fun fact: The wining raffle tickets were all purchased by residents who were not at the event!
