2024 - How We Support Our Mission
Scholarships
The Foundation has awarded 107 life-changing scholarships totaling over $835,000 in the past seven years, including eight new scholarships in 2024. An additional $654,396 is reserved for commitments to 38 scholars currently in our program. Many recipients would not be able to attend college without these scholarships. Many of our scholars are the first in
their families to attend higher

education. The long-term investments for scholarships consist of funds donated by residents that are designated for future scholarship obligations.
Programs
The Foundation supports 16 programs for Independent Living, Assisted Living, the Bentley Care Center, and Southwest Florida. These programs fall into the categories of Live Music, Participatory Music, Music Therapy, Intellectual and Cultural Stimulation, and Community Outreach, See the program section on pages 9-13 for details on these programs. In 2024 we spent $185,621.
Expenses
Administration and fundraising costs include accounting, database management (Donor Perfect), printing, legal, and insurance. Fundraising expenses also include the Annual Membership Drive, Dollars for Scholars and Spring Fundraisers.
